BUSINESS PROBLEM
One of the most critical challenges for the good operation of workshops is the planning and organization of their human resources, in order to make an optimal allocation of resources to each of the tasks associated with the repair orders. This assignment of tasks is carried out manually by the workshop manager, requiring time and dedication. Furthermore, if not done optimally, it implies a significant loss of workshop performance.

DRIBIA’S SOLUTION
Together with the CAR team, we have developed a numerical optimization algorithm that assigns each task to each mechanic in the optimal order. The engine, which generates the optimal combination in a matter of minutes, replaces a long and complex manual process, and allows an increase of up to 50% in equipment availability. It also enables rapid recalculation of the planning in case there are unexpected changes in the tasks to be performed or manual adjustments to the planning are desired.
