BUSINESS PROBLEM

With the evolution of its services, YEGO experienced a growing need to take advantage of its data for Business Intelligence (BI). At this stage, queries were made directly on operational SQL databases, which represented a challenge in terms of speed and efficiency, as well as implying a certain dependence on the transactional environment. Likewise, since there is still no formal separation between the phases of extraction, transformation, enrichment, quality control and data consumption, the exploitation processes could become complex to maintain and scale.

DRIBIA’S SOLUTION

Together with YEGO’s Data and IT staff, Dribia designed and implemented an analytical database deployed on Amazon Redshift, decoupling data exploitation from the operational environment and ensuring fast and secure access to information. ETL processes were developed with dbt to transform the data in a modular and traceable way, optimizing its quality and ensuring its consumption efficiency. In addition, the data was structured with a strong geolocalized component using H3 indexes, allowing advanced spatial analysis. With this solution, the company was able to improve data access speed, reduce operational risks, and establish a scalable data architecture ready for growth.
